About EC19
19th Joint workshop (EC-19) on Electron Cyclotron Emission (ECE) and Electron cyclotron Resonance Heating (ECRH)
Instructions to authors for EC 19 Paper publication in EPJ journal
April 04-07, 2016
The Joint workshop on ECE and ECRH (EC) is a bi-annual meeting, which covers the major areas as: Electron cyclotron (EC-wave) theory, electron cyclotron emission (ECE), electron cyclotron resonance heating (ECRH), electron Cyclotron current drive (ECCD), Experiments on various tokamaks and Stellarators and Technology associated with ECE and ECRH
The first EC meeting was held in 1979 at Colledge Park (USA). The last EC-18 meeting was held in 2014 at Nara Japan. The EC-19 meeting is scheduled in 2016 (April 04-07, 2016) at Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar India.
The IPR (Institute for Plasma Research) is an autonomous Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India. The IPR is situated at the bank of Sabarmati river at the boundary of twin city Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. IPR is involved with the studies on theoretical and experimental plasma. There are two tokamaks operation Aditya and SST-1. Both the tokamaks are equipped with ECE and ECRH systems. In SST-1 42GHz/500kW and 82.6GHz/200kW ECRH system are used while in Aditya tokamak 42GHz system is used.
The EC meeting at IPR would give an opportunity to world scientists to share the ideas in the field of ECE and ECRH.
Along with technical sessions related ECE and ECRH, cultural program and local sightseeing would be organized to make the meeting more interesting.
The local organizing committee invites the world scientists to participate in EC-workshop to make the EC-19 a great success for ECE and ECRH.
