High Heat Flux Test Facility
The High heat Flux Test facility (HHFTF) established at IPR is a state-of-the-art facility for material plasma interaction studies which is available in very few places around the world. This helps to decide the armour materials for fusion machines which needs to withstand the extreme conditions prevailing in the edge of the tokamak.
The scale model of this facility shows all the important parts as well as the action of the rastor scanned electron beam that deposits the high heat flux on the samples being tested.
