Plasma For Textiles
Plasma For Treatment of Textiles
This model shows one of the earliest applications of plasma developed by IPR for textiles. Angora rabbit wool is treated using plasma to make it spinnable. These machines are currently deployed at Kulu in Himachal and in Sikkim. Plasma is also used to make fresh cotton hydrophilic to make dye intake easier. Samples of untreated and treated angora wool as well as cotton fabric before and after plasma treatment to show more efficient dye intake will also be on display.
